As most parents know, attending workshops, conferences and seminars is not only compulsory in many cases but also vital to the successful pursuit of their careers. It is no different for students and learners. They need to attend workshops in order to acquire skills that are not covered by the school syllabus.
Since these workshops deal, in essence, with life-long skills and knowledge, it does not matter which part of the year learners attend them.  They can even attend the workshops late in the year (including the Dec/Jan holidays).
