RIGHT/LEFT BRAIN DOMINANT PROFILER
In 1968, Dr Roger Sperry published his ground-breaking discovery of two separately functioning hemispheres of the brain: the left and right hemispheres. While both hemispheres perform certain functions, such as making decisions and memorizing, each side carries out specialized functions.
The left hemisphere is largely concerned with facts, logic and numbers. The right side of the brain, on the other hand, is responsible for intuition, feelings and creativity. Furthermore, the left hemisphere controls the right side of the body while the left side of the body is controlled by the right hemisphere.
From an early age, one hemisphere begins to dominate. Most persons are either right or left brain dominant. However, in some people, both hemispheres are equally dominant. Whether a person is left brain/right brain dominant determines the type of person he/she is or what are his/her dominant characteristics. This, in turn, can help to figure out what may be a suitable career for a person.
This software:
- establishes whether you are right or left brain dominant
- identifies what may be suitable career/s for you to follow
- recommends subjects to grade nine learners that may suit their brain profile and in which they are more likely to excel
- provides information on the minimum requirements to obtain the National Senior Certificate
- sets out the minimum requirements for entry into tertiary level
